# Checkout extensions
## Getting started
Choose Shopwaive's **Redeem** checkout extension for [Store credit](https://docs.shopwaive.com/shopify/accounts) and [Offer](https://docs.shopwaive.com/shopify/offers) redemption at checkout. Add the **Upsells** checkout extension to show specific collections of products you define through metafield definitions and then optionally add a cash back incentive when they add it at Checkout.

**Step 1:** Add the App block to your Theme. Visit your **Themes**, and then click **Customize**
**Step 2:** Click the **Home page** drop down. Then click **Checkout and new customer accounts**
**Step 3:** Click **+ Add app block** under the **Order Summary** section, or anywhere you choose
**Step 4:** Click the **Redeem** extension by Shopwaive
**Step 5:** Click **Save**. And you're done!
Now, you can change the look, text, and options to match your brand from the **Design** tab within the Shopwaive app. You also have the option to hide the redemption input field, hide your brand logo, change the **Redeem** button text and much more.
As mentioned above, you can place the **Redeem** extension anywhere you like when you design your Checkout with Shopify Plus.

The default extension applies an Order discount in the amount the customer desires to redeem. The discount only applies toward the subtotal of merchandise items. Redeemed balances can be combined with other discounts or promotional codes if you enable this feature in the Shopify Discounts panel when creating the discount. Make these selections in the Combinations card, where you can choose to combine with other Products, Shipping, or Order discounts.

Shopify Plus stores need to upgrade to Checkout Extensibility before the Combinations card shows options to combine with Product, Order, and Shipping discounts.
