## Product image editor

Notice in the above images that although the AI successfully added sunglasses to the model, her dress embroidery design is noticeably different. This was generated with **gpt-image-1**, an early version of Open AI's image generation model.&#x20;

Now, as you can see below, we have upgraded Shopwaive systems to **gpt-image-1.5** and you can see the gap has been closed, and the dress remains identical while still adding the accessory.&#x20;

From OpenAI, here's what's improved with gpt-image-1.5:

* **The model follows instructions more reliably** than our initial version. This enables more precise edits as well as more intricate original compositions
* **The model is better at text rendering**, particularly at handling denser and smaller text
* **20% lower cost on image inputs and outputs in the API** compared to GPT Image 1, helping you generate more images on the same budget
* **You can further optimize workflows for cost** by using the quality parameter, which delivers strong performance for the price even when set to low
